Hope in the Time of the Cailleach
The breath of Winter, frost descends,
as the night deepens, darkness reigns.
The Cailleach, Lady of Winter, is here
bringing winds of change, whirling snows and icy rains.
Oh Great One, help us to look deep within
to survive the cold months and bring good cheer
to those far and near for the end of the year is here.
Let us feast, merry meet, exchange tokens of love at table,
under evergreens, at sanctuary and at home.
Line the windows full of light, chase away the cold,
know that we never walk alone.
So be bold my friends, be bold.
Know that in the darkest of nights,
there is the light, oh, there is the light.
